Liberation

An educational resource focusing on the human dimension of liberation after the Holocaust. Liberation represented not only the liberation of Europe from the Nazi yoke and the end of the war, but also it represented the liberation of thousands of Jews from the extermination camps and the places where they had sought refuge during the long war years. With liberation, Jewish victims became human beings again. The unit discusses the existential and psychological dimensions of being liberated through literature and testimonies of Holocaust survivors.
