The Legend of the Lodz Ghetto Children, full set

The hardships of ghetto life through the eyes of Jewish children. This fascinating legend, with its beautiful illustrations, was written in the Lodz Ghetto in Poland during the war. In the guise of a playful fantasy, it vividly describes life in the ghetto where children labored in factories and workshops in the hope of escaping deportation to the extermination camps. Ultimately, the entire ghetto was liquidated, but the legend remains to tell a story of hope amid terror and tragedy. The unit contains: 17 color posters with illustrations from the album A teacher’s manual, with historical background, the legend, testimonies by ghetto survivors, articles and suggestions for class activities.
