Maurycy Trebacz was born in Warsaw.Studied art in Krakov, Munich and Paris. His artworks were widely exhibited in Europe, and the United States. In 1909, he moved to Lodz. In 1940, he was deported to the ghetto, where he died os starvation on January 29, 1941. Most of his works were destroyed.
