When they were driven out of Poland, the Nazis destroyed many of the documents relating to the annihilation of the Jews. However, after the war some were recovered. These may be found in the archives of the “Central Commission for Investigation of Hitlerite Crimes in Poland, the Jewish Historical Institute, the Ministry of the Interior, the Polish Labor Party, the Museums of Oświęcim and Majdanek, and the Berlin Documentation Center.
