This film focuses on the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany during the period 1933-38. From the moment the Nazis came to power in 1933, the Jews of Germany were targeted for persecution. In spite of their patriotism and contribution to their country, Jews were dismissed from their jobs, deprived of civil lefts and banned from Germany’s cultural life. They were no longer citizens, they were outcasts. The persecution of German Jews reached a peak in 1938 with mass arrests, burning of synagogues and pillaging of their shops – a dark forewarning of the ''Final Solution'' and the Holocaust.
