Marcel Janco was born in Bucharest. Studied Architecture in Zurich. Among the founders of Dada. Joined the surreallists in Paris, and then returned to Romania. Following a surge in antisemitism he fled to the land of Israel with his family in 1941. Founded the Ein-Hod Artists Village.
