Anti-Jewish Policy and the German Volksgemeinschaft: Otto Dov Kulka and Eberhard Jäckel, eds., Die Juden in den geheimen NS-Stimmungsberichten 1933-1945

Already in 1934 Nazi officials contemplated a Germany without Jews. Kulka and Jäckel present the heterogeneous attitude of the German people to the regime’s progressive anti-Jewish policies. Did they react with indifference or concurrence? The authors conclude that there was much satisfaction and a swelling embracement of exclusion of Jews from German society. The book is an important contribution because of its very extensive documentation for research purposes, including an expanded CD-ROM index.
